“ I ate here the other day, and this was a pretty good "hole in the wall" type location. I went at mid-day, and it had the feel of a bar but most people appeared to be eating. The service was very fast despite being mostly full and prices were reasonable. I plan on going again when in the area. ”

It’s got the feel of an old school neighborhood bar but it was full of families. Our server was at the table before we were even fully in our seats. We can for burgers and they did not disappoint (sorry I forgot to take a picture). If you get the double be ready, it’s a huge burger. I had to take one piece of meat off just to get it in my mouth. The benefit to that was eating the 2nd patty by itself. The quality of the meat was fantastic. I don’t know when I’ll get back to Topeka but I would definitely comeback to the Shack. Great place and great staff. The prices were also incredibly reasonable (you spend as much or more at a fast food place). Some of the locals were so friendly as well, engaging with us as we paid. Make the detour off the interstate. I promise you won’t regret it. ”
